Pathways for Children & Youth

Early Years

The Early Years service is designed to help families with children aged birth to six years of age. Some of the children we work with have difficulty with social and emotional development. Some families may have experienced trauma or family distress. Other children and parents find their lives going smoothly and want new ideas and information about their well-being.

The Early Years service offers short-term, intensive, goal-oriented and family-centred assessment and intervention programs in home, school, and community settings. In addition, staff offers parent and child group treatment programs, and training programs on children's mental health for parents and those who work with young people.

The Early Years team has working relationships with other organizations serving young children, including local early childhood education programs, Ontario Early Years Centres, and Better Beginnings for Kingston Children.
